We seek to provide an environment where each employee feels welcomed and respected. We support a workplace where all are valued and heard. We are committed to developing pathways for success where each employee feels innovative, productive, and invested in the legislative process.
The LCC provides nonpartisan coordination of accessibility compliance efforts for the Minnesota Legislature.
Beginning October 1, 2024, the senate, the house of representatives, and joint legislative offices and commissions must comply with accessibility standards adopted for state agencies by the chief information officer for technology, software, and hardware procurement, unless the responsible authority for a legislative body or office has approved an exception for a standard for that body or office.
The digital accessibility standards applicable to state agencies are governed under Minnesota Statutes, section 16E.03, subdivision 9.
The Accessibility Services team is here to provide continuous training, support, and resources to enable staff to meet accessibility standards.
LCC Language Services is in partnership with University Language Center to support members and staff in conducting official legislative business in Hmong, Somali, and Spanish.
Language Services are available for both the translation (written) and interpretation (spoken) of hearings, committee meetings, meetings with constituents, surveys, letters, flyers pamphlets, voicemail messages and responses.
Please visit the Language Services page for Request requirements and guidelines.
