Important note:  The numbers and percentages in the charts reflect general election results.  The footnotes below the charts reflect changes in the numbers and percentages of women elected to/serving in the Minnesota Legislature as the result of special elections and other noted circumstances.

*(21) Mee Moua (DFL) was elected 1/29/02 to fill the term of a man who resigned, increasing the number of women in the Senate to 24 (35.8%) and the number of women in the Legislature to 59 (29.4%). 
*(22) Yvonne Prettner Solon (DFL) was elected 01/29/02, replacing her husband who died in office, increasing the number of women in the Senate to 25 (37.3%) and the number of women in the Legislature to 60 (29.9%). 
*(23) Darlene Luther (DFL) died in office (1/30/02) and was replaced by a man elected 3/5/02 reducing the number of women in the House to 34 (25.4%) and the number of women in the Legislature to 59 (29.4%).

*(26) Amy Koch (R) was elected 11/22/05 to fill the term of a man who resigned increasing the number of women in the Senate to 25 (37.3%) and the number of women in the Legislature to 62 (30.8%). 
*(27) Tarryl Clark (DFL) was elected 12/27/05 to fill the term of a man who resigned, increasing the number of women in the Senate to 26 (38.8%) and the number of women in the Legislature to 63 (31.1%).
