  1.1      Senator Pogemiller moved to amend S.F. No. 1057  as follows: 
  1.2      Page 9, after line 24, insert: 
  1.3      "Sec. 14.  [APPROPRIATION.] 
  1.4      For each of fiscal years 2006 and 2007, $2,000,000 is 
  1.5   appropriated from the general fund to the commissioner of 
  1.6   finance to be distributed to counties and home rule charter and 
  1.7   statutory cities in proportion to each of their shares of the 
  1.8   total additional employer contributions for all counties and 
  1.9   cities under this article." 
  1.10     Page 9, delete section 1 
  1.11     Page 56, after line 25, insert: 
  1.12     "Sec. 43.  [EDUCATION RESERVE ACCOUNT TRANSFERS.] 
  1.13     Notwithstanding any other law to the contrary, any deposit 
  1.14  into the education reserve account of the increased amount of 
  1.15  the state general levy under Minnesota Statutes, section 
  1.16  275.025, over the state general levy base amount for taxes 
  1.17  payable in 2002, is first effective for property taxes remitted 
  1.18  to the state after June 30, 2008." 
  1.19     Page 56, line 27, before "$2,500,000" insert "(a)" 
  1.20     Page 56, line 30, delete "7" and insert "6" 
  1.21     Page 56, line 31, after the period, insert "Additionally, 
  1.22  $2,500,000 is appropriated from the general fund to the 
  1.23  commissioner of finance for transfer to the teachers retirement 
  1.24  fund as required by section 6.  $1,250,000 is for the fiscal 
  1.25  year ending June 30, 2006, and $1,250,000 is for the fiscal year 
  1.26  ending June 30, 2007. 
  1.27     (b) For fiscal years 2006 and 2007 only, the amount 
  1.28  necessary to make state aid payments for the additional employer 
  1.29  contributions required under Minnesota Statutes, section 354.42, 
  1.30  subdivision 3, is appropriated from the general fund."

  1.32  references 
  1.33     Amend the title accordingly
