LCMR FUNDED
PROJECTS
Biennially, proposed projects are submitted to the LCMR
for their recommendation to the legislature and ultimately to be included
in the state's budget plan. The LCMR recommends which of the three funding
sources to use for each project in their recommendations. Research
proposals are also referred to an expert peer review panel. Approved
projects must be conducted and completed according to an approved work
plan. After a project is completed, the results and final report are
reviewed by the LCMR.
Any individual, organization (profit or nonprofit), community or state
agency can submit a proposal for consideration. Guidelines are found in
the Request for Proposals (RFP) for the 2005-2007 biennium.
