The Minnesota Environmental Initiative (MEI) announced the winners of their 2006 Environmental Initiative Awards. These annual awards are given for outstanding partnerships between business, government and environmental groups in environmental education, energy, private sector innovation, public sector innovation, and land use categories. One partnership also receives their top honor, the Partnership of the Year award.

Our first edition of highlights will begin with three projects funded by the Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund that were honored at this years 2006 Environmental Initiative Awards.
