Future LCCMR Request for
Proposals (RFP) Schedule
Calendar-Year 2008
(funding to begin
July 1, 2009)
Calendar-year 2008 is
being structured as a "transition year" to put the LCCMR onto a reliable,
recurring annual proposal cycle into the future. A 2008 calendar structure has been
adopted - specific dates are being
confirmed and will be posted upon confirmation. There will be two phases of LCCMR proposal requests for 2008:
-
Mid-June 2008: The Commission
will consider and make specific proposal requests to existing, ongoing Trust
Fund funded projects in the areas of natural resource data, land acquisition,
and habitat restoration. Due date
for these proposals will be late August and the Commission will hear proposal
presentations in September.
-
Late-July 2008: The Commission
will issue an RFP that will be specific and targeted based upon information
received in the Statewide Conservation and Preservation Plan (www.mnconservationplan.net),
which will be completed by June 30, 2008.
Due
date for these proposals will be early October and the Commission will hear
proposal presentations in early December.
Proposal recommendation
decisions will be finalized in early December and presented to the 2009
legislature in January.
